A SPIDER'S CREATION FLOATS LIKE ONE OF THESE - The brains over at movieboss.com have come up with a very intriuging tivia game. It sounds quite simple: They give you the name of a movie or TV show and you guess the name of the movie or TV show. Wanna try? Here are some examples they provided: WHAT PART OF THE RAINBOW CONNECTION ARE YOU? GOOD OLD TOMMY - It's been a tough go for the Braves lately. They have not been scoring runs at all and last night Greg Maddux had his worst night ever as a professional pitcher. But tonight that all changed. Tom Glavine absolutely dominated the Houston Astros allowing only three hits in 7 scoreless innings. Glavine is off to the best start of his career, posting a 4-1 record with a league low, unheard of 0.89 ERA. Since the All-Star break last season he has been unstoppable tallying an ERA of 2.53 and losing only 3 in that span. This year he has added a curveball to his pitching arsenal and seen the fine results. At 35 years of age the ability to add a whole new diminsion to his game and dominate as a result shows Glavine to be something special.. ::Thursday, April 25, 2002::BATMAN AND ARONOFSKY - Filmjerk uncovers some big news concerning Darren Aronofsky's next film. For months the word was that the Requiem For a Dream director was going to helm the next Batman Movie, tenatively entitled Batman Beyond. The film was said to detail Bruce Wayne's first year as Batman and his adjustment there in. However The Jerk's informatoin indicates Aronofsky maybe going in a different direction. Then again it could be the first news detailing the casting and details of the next Batman. COULTER TO THE RESCUE - John Tabin critized yours truly last week for critizing the Supreme Court's ruling on Child Pornogrpahy. I'd like to refer him and all interested parties to Ann Coulter's Law and Liberty column on the court's ruling. Now I've never been a huge far of Coulter, she's much to hardened for me, but her anaylsis is right on. YODA GOES BALLISTIC - My searching of all things Star Wars continues. You absolutely have to check out this photo of Yoda yeilding a lightsaber. And if you think that was cool then prepare yourself for this picture. There are no spoilers here if you know just a little bit about Yoda's enemy in Attack of the Clones. This stuff is just so damn cool! EPISODE III ANYONE? I've been listening to the Star Wars soundtrack almost non-stop since I picked it up two days ago and because of it I've been scanning the web for all kinds of news on Episode II. TheForce.net is a great place to start. The site is full of all kinds of news and rumours and is where you can also view the nine new commercials. Most interesting of all though, is an article I uncovered on hollywood.com. The article details everything what is known and rumoured about Episode III of the Star Wars Saga. The final chapter is still three years away but I want to see it tomorrow after reading this article. Who cares about all the talk concerning Attack of the Clones, lets talk Episode III! Scott Huver's Special Report does just that. Of special note: James Earl Jones confirms he will be needed for a Darth Vader voiceover, Obi-Wan and Anakin's kickass fight and more additional scenes for the orginal trilogy. (Can you say The Special Special Edition. I'll have to watch my Special Edition and laugh at the ad that says "George Lucas's definitive version of the Star Wars.") ::Tuesday, April 23, 2002::23 DAYS LEFT - I'm still recovering from one of the busiest weekends of my life but I'm certainly not to exhausted to realize it's only three weeks until the next Star Wars movie comes out. Today I picked up the newly released soundtrack. John Williams has produced a marvelous peice of music again. The soundtrack is centered around the "Love Theme" a powerful, hopeful hymn that rises and falls like the love of it's two young causes. The 13th and final track is of particular note. It combines the "Love Theme" and the "Imperial March" from earlier Star Wars movies. This is a perfect combination demonstrating the conflict in "Attack of the Clones". From what I've been reading the final 30-40 minutes of "Attack of the Clones" is a all out Space War unparelled in cinema history. The final three tracks on the soundtrack inspire me to think great things. ::Sunday, April 21, 2002::TO THE LIMIT - Wow, what a weekend! Grandparents, 25 dollar beers, Hotel Executive Suites, the 42nd floor, 25 dollar Coca-Cola, friendly New York Taxi Drivers, drunk 35 year-old blondies, 21st birthdays, W8th, the Hilton, the NY Subway, a Jewish Priest, Yankees vs. Blue Jays, tailgaters, fresh Italian meals, family stories, the Elisian Fields, and Home again. Plus Earth Day (yeah!), Anit War Protestors in Washington (my favorite) and the Braves win 4 straight (Furcal is back). To read previous entries please go to The Archive
