A NEW FACE EMERGES - Filmjerk's third favorite columnist and my favorite internet writer, The Facer, has opened his own blog at thefacer.net. Go there and you can read all about him and his little spat with AICN's Drew McWeeny. You can also read his review of the new Star Trek movie, due out this December, or read his annotated version of the Star Trek: Nemesis script. Whoever this Facer guy is he can certainly make me laugh with the kind of knowledgable cynicism that I both desire and find extremely funny.

STREAMING MOVIE REVIEWS - These are written stream of conscience…meaning whatever comes to mind. Spelling, grammer, and syntax errors are not fixed. They are as they are written.

Insomnia – Why does a physogolical thriller have to end in a shoot out? That is such a dump idea. Where’s Seven when you need it? Robin Willaims, this movie is Robin Willaims basically not playing Robin Willaims. Is that any kind of accomplishment? He didn’t act in this movie as much as he just didn’t act. Hillary Swank really can act. Will Christopher Nolan ever not do a movie where the title is not the theme of the films plot? This movie could have been great…it failed in the end.

The Sum of All Fears
– Ben Affleck cannot act. Maybe he can write. The kid wrote one good movie and then decided to become a second bit writer. Apparently he likes Sly Stallone’s career path. When will Hollywood ever choose real villains for a movie? Neo-Nazi’s? C’mon, that is so patheticly lame. The command structure in the USA and Russia is nothing like it’s shown in this movie. The book tells you what it’s really like. Hint: It’s much more stable. Will Hollywood ever give us a really nuclear bomb movie? Sum ends all cheery and happy and millions are dead. Yay!

The Bourne Identity – This is a great idea for a movie. Like a greek myth of a God fallen from Heaven with no idea of his abilities or his past…found floating in the Mediterean Sea. To bad the movie didn’t live up to it’s premise. They should have cut every scene that took place in the CIA. They were worthless. Famke Potente is hot. Matt Damon can act. Doug Limian can direct movies, he can certainly direct movies better then this. Why the hell did Potente’s character hang on with Damon’s? This was completely pointless and insulting. We know she has to be there..why..because there has to be a girl in the movie. Doesn’t Hollywood have any orginal ideas left?

Scooby-Doo – If you going back to lame 70’s cartoon’s you know they have no ideas left. This movie was crap. It cost 90 million dollars. The film is 86 minutes long. That is more then a million dollars a minute. I wanted a lot of entertainment at a million dollars a minute. I didn’t get it. The dog looks horrible. They actually spent millions on that? The problem here is that they took a cartoon and made it a movie, instead of making it a cartoon. The movie could have been a cartoon, it does not stand on it’s own as a movie…what here could not have been in a cartoon?
If it was I'd say it was a waste of talent (like the above films), but it's really just a waste of money and mine.

THE MATRIX: EARLY RELEASED? - Filmjerk's got his hand on something big this time (if it's legit). The script for The Matrix: Reloaded is now appearing on filmjerk.com. It comes to us from one of the internet's most mysterious but intelligent (and damn funny) people - The Facer. Be warned though the script appears to be only a first draft and even if that is so it may not last long on the internet if Warner Bros. has anything at all too say about it.

Don't sweat spoilers very much (Don't sweat them at all really). Like I said before the script is just a first draft. If for nothing else read it for the pure entertainment of your imagination and the many laughs you will get from The Facer. Make sure you follow the directions precisly on FJ's site and you'll be reading Matrix 2 a full year before it's released in theaters...trust me.
