LETTERMAN GOES SHIRTLESS - David Letterman announced tonight that he was going to adopt a son for that he and his "son" could run around shirtless and beat on people for no apparent reason. Dave's has been on top of his game and his Top Ten list two out of the last three nights have been two of the funniest I'ever seen.
On Wednesday it was "Top Ten Shirtless Father And Son Explanations," which of course was mocking those two (father and son) shirtless idiots in Chicago who charged the field in Chicago to beat up Kansas City Royals first baseball coach. My favorites are:
6. Dr. Phil says fathers and sons form stronger bonds when they commit senseless acts of violence 5. When two shirtless idiots can't attack anyone they want, the terrorists have won 1. Couple Mets players gave us some crazy weed, man
Now those drug addicted Mets players, whom I blogged about a few days ago, got their own Top Ten List tonight. It was down right hilirious and once The Late Show website updates for the night I will post the link (And HERE it is). But in the mean time you can check out Dave's site which is one of the most visited and funniest sites on the net. I love reading "This Dave in History" or going through the ultimate measure of our cultural's attention, the Top Ten archive.
As seen above, Dave's favorite target of late has been Dr. Phil. He's been playing clips of Phil stating completely obvious things as if he was the master of all things human. Clips of Dr. Phil saying things like, "A mirror will always show your reflection," and, "Do you realize you can’t play the game of life with sweaty palms?” Showing Dr. Phil as the idiot and fraud he really always bring a huge laugh (A campaign which Letterman's friend Howard Stern actually started about a year ago.). Hands down Letterman has given me a reason to watch non-sports/non-FOXNEWS related television again. He's funny, irrelevant, without limits (#5 on the Top Ten List of "Things Over Heard at the Letterman Family Picnic" - I'm more of a Leno man) self-mocking, intelligent and always relevant. He's the best.

TURNING A FACE TOWARDS HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS - For some reason I didn't post about this big story a few days ago, but old news is still news. The Facer got a sneak peak at Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I was surprised to find out how much he completely loved this movie. For more about the movie and facer's excellent break down of what he saw make sure to check out his column HERE. Here are some highlights :
- Running time is 183 without opening and closing credits. - Daniel Radcliffe has grown, alot. A whole lot, but he is completly taking over the role. - Richard Harris is blah agian. - There is no deathday party for Nearly Headless Nick - Argag the giant-spider is going to look amazing - Draco Malfoy is still a bore and played with too much ease and not enough smarts (though many of Facer's readers disagree). - Ron's house is hiliarious ("Like something out of a wacky Disney movie," reports Facer) - The final confrontation is jump-out-of-you-cheering-as-you-whip-away-tears fun.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets open on November 15th, 2002.

IT'S ABOUT TIME RYAN - I updated all the archive pages today. Go ahead and take a look and see what you've missed. Also make sure you check out Film-Mogul.com. My posting has been light over the past few weeks because I've spent so much time with this game. I run one of the Movie Studios over there and have another blog for my Studios homepage. Make sure you check out both of those and Fark.com if you're bored.
