THAT CAN'T BE TRUE - Some strange thoughts/stats from MNF as I avoid watching the Atlanta Braves end another postseason in disgrace (why is Vinny Castilla, Keith Lockhart or Javy Lopez still a Major Leaguer!!!!!????).
- Chicago Bears QB Jim Miller's career average yards per rush attempt is 1.44 inches. That's the exact length of the previous statement "Chicago Bears QB Jim Miller." That's bad.
- So far in the game, Green Bay Packers QB Brett Favre has a "perfect" game QB rating of 168.3. What is wrong with that statement?
- Is there anything more football then the Bears and Packers on Monday Night with John Madden at the mike? (Well they are playing at Illoinois University because of renevations to Chicago's Soldier Feild.)

POMPOUS PREDICTIONS UPDATE - See my MLB Playoff Predictions post below for reference.
The New York Yankees got beat in the American League Playoffs for the first time since 1997. Let's see back in '97 Seinfeld was still on TV, Titanic hadn't been released, the NASDAQ neared 5,000, no one knew who Monica Lewisnky was and Osama Bin Laden was a unregistared blimp on the CIA's radar. Gotta give the Yanks their due, they had a pretty good run. The Anahiem Angels were able to get past them in 4 games when I predicated the Yanks would win in 4.
Across the way in the National League the St. Louis Cardinels completed their three game sweep of the defending World Champion Arizona Diamondbacks. It appeared that Arizona just had no hear in this series and layed down after losing the first two games at home. The Cardinels are the feel good baseball story of the year as they attempt to rebound for the tragic death of their All-Star pitcher David Kile and the death of their long time legendary broadcast Jack Buck.
The Braves go for the knockout over Barry Bonds and Giants today as the A's and Twins duel in a win-it-or-pack-for-winter deciding game 5.
Stay tuned.
